Traditional vs. non-traditional medicine

Traditional vs. non-traditional medicine

After working in my specialty for some 10 years, I began to face more and more cases when in classical medicine I lacked the means and advice to help my patients. Neither really diagnose nor prescribe treatment. There may have been cases like this before, but I hadn’t paid that kind of attention to it.

Unwillingly, life made me think about what to do differently, even though my patients and I myself would be pleased with the result of the cooperation. So, step by step, I came to the idea that I wanted to learn more about such an “unconventional” field of medicine as homeopathy.

Like all medical students, I used to mention a man like Samuel Haneman in pharmacology, by the way, I knew I was being treated with grains containing medicine at large dilutions, but to be honest, that was it. But as we know, nothing happens to us in this life by accident. So, every now and then, life passed on some occasions, events, meetings, until I finally started studying homeopathy very seriously.

I have to say, my initial notion of this science collapsed very quickly, but also the reality that I was entangled in a very serious case and without going back came up fast enough instead. All together it was and still is very complicated, but also interesting and exciting.

Thus, listening to patient complaints more and more often I catch myself on the idea – these are classic homeopathic symptoms. Unfortunately, traditional medicine textbook help is offered relatively conditionally, in most cases only by eliminating or pressing the symptoms.

The discussion on the correctness and effectiveness of traditional and non-traditional treatments is timeless. I’d like to say, everyone’s own. Most importantly, find in a timely way and the main thing is to believe what you do and how you do – both the doctor and the patient.

My practical experience is not yet great, but the first successful attempts also give joy and a desire to continue both studying and working. And most importantly – to help your patients qualitatively, no matter what methods.

But in terms of medical erudition, my favorites to date, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists and endocrinologists, have now been joined by homeopaths. So to speak, there is something to assuit.
